Demolition makes room for new Delta Fire Station

Three old buildings on Delta’s Main Street were demolished to make room for a new firehouse. The new Delta Fire Station will be built next spring at the site on Main Street, east of the Delta City Park. One of the buildings demolished was the first brick home built in Delta. Only demolition and dirt work will be completed this fall. Once the design is finalized, the firehouse will put it out for bid. The bid process is scheduled to begin in January.
