CIB approves $400,000 for Wales road surfacing project
Wales is resurfacing all the streets in town with some help from the Utah Community Impact Board (CIB). The mayor worked with the town board to revise the city’s master plan and create a road maintenance plan. Then the town applied to the Community Impact Board (CIB) for a $125,000 loan and $275,000 grant. The CIB notified the city that they were providing the whole $400,000 in a grant. The city will put in $32,000 cash, which it has in savings. The low bidder was on the project was Christensen Brothers Rock in Mt. Pleasant. The project should be completed by October.
