Delta Community Center grand opening
Delta City is excited to announce the grand opening of the new Delta Community Center. Delta City’s cost for property, parking lot, building, and furnishings cost $ 1.3 million. The funding came from the following sources: the State of Utah Permanent Community Impact Fund Board grant of $535,000 and a 30-year loan in the amount of $215,000 at zero percent interest. Magnum Energy, the salt cavern project, leased underground water for their process from Delta City for almost $400,000. The balance of the funding was from Delta City, some of it in-kind services. This facility is to be used by all those who may consider they live in the greater Delta Area, hence the name isn’t Delta City Community Center, but Delta Community Center.
