Public-private partnership seeking to beautify Manti’s Main Street
Upwards of $50,000 has been or is being invested to make Manti’s Main Street businesses look nicer. A good deal of that is money that the city, Sanpete County and other entities have contributed to what they see is the two-pronged worthy cause of beautification and economic development. In the program, participating business owners develop a plan to improve the exterior appearance of their buildings: a new coat of paint for instance, or a new sign. Business owners provide at least half of the total cost, but can apply to the city and county for a grant of up to $5000, which is split 50-50 by the city and the Sanpete Economic Development office.
