Gunnison’s mayor and council awarded a $911,000 contract for the city’s streetscape project to low bidder Carlisle Excavating of Redmond. Mayor Lori Nay also announced that the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) had just agreed to contribute another $110,000 to the streetscape project, but those funds will have to be amended to the budget at a later date.
