Rapid growth prompts Snow College to build new dorms

Snow College will build its first dormitory since 1969 that will house almost 400 students, college officials announced recently. To make way for the new building Fern Young Hall will first be demolished. Construction is expected to begin in May 2011. The new dorm will feature three-bed, two-bath apartments, as well as a common kitchen, laundry, lounge and study space within its planned 86,000 square feet.
