Bond proposal to build new Millard County school buildings
The Millard County School Board decided to move forward with a bond proposal to renovate or build new buildings in Fillmore and Delta at their regular board meeting in August. The bond proposal will be on the ballot in June 2011. When first proposed in 2008, a $50 million bond was being considered. If the voters of the county had passed a 15-year bond at that time it was estimated it would have raised property taxes on a $100,000 home by about $144.00 a year. The 2008 figures showed a tax increase on irrigated farmland Type II and Type III of about $186 and $147 per 100 acres respectively. Millard County Chronicle Progress
