Old Rock Church in Centerfield to be restored

The Centerfield City Council voted 4-0 last week to loan $30,000 from water funds to the effort to restore the Old Rock Church. The effort, underway for several years, had ground to a halt because of lack of money. City leaders decided that if they completed the project now, the building might at least begin generating some revenue from meetings and reception rentals. The alternative was for the building to sit vacant until at least next year, when it might be possible to get a grant. Sanpete Messenger
