Sanpete receives grant money for flood prevention, cleanup

Sanpete County has received a grant of $500,000 from the National Resources Conservation Services (NRCS) and expects to receive up to an additional $350,000. The funds will be used for repair and  prevention of flood damage. In last week’s county commission meeting, the commission approved bids for the first round of proposed projects to utilize the half-million dollars already granted. Commissioners also approved bids conditional upon receiving the additional funds from NRCS. Sanpete Messenger
