The Millard School Board of Education is pursuing building a new classroom building, gym and auditorium for Delta High School, possibly completing the work in three phases, beginning with the academic portion of the building. The total cost of the project would be about $18 million. Construction could begin next spring.
The School Board will meet this Thursday, Sept. 8, to further discuss the proposed project which would be funded in part by the issuance of $9,749,000 in Qualified School Construction Bond authorized by the Utah State Office of Education. Additional money for the project will come from funds in the School District’s capital fund which currently contains about $5 million. Millard County Chronicle Progress
