Work on new Central Utah Food Sharing building moving forward

The nearly $400,000 Central Utah Food Sharing building, located in the industrial park in Richfield, is nearing 40 percent completion, according to Kim Busk. He said the project is moving along according to plan. “It should be done in November sometime,” Busk said. “We haven't run into any serious problems that would set us back.”

Funding for the new food bank is coming primarily from a community development block grant, which totals $250,000. Another $130,000 grant from the Utah Permanent Community Impact Fund Board has also been secured for the building, as well as funds from the United States Department of Agriculture Rural Development.
