Two major Utah-based financial institutions are constructing new branches in Ephraim. On Tuesday, officials of Zions Bank held a groundbreaking ceremony for a new branch building across from city hall at 15 S. Main St. And work began about two weeks ago on a branch of Mountain America Credit Union just north of the U.S. Forest Service offices at about 650 N. Main St. Both locations should be in operation by late fall or around the end of the year, the institutions officials said. Sanpete Messenger
